Q. What experience do you have? A. I have filmed over 600 weddings and have worked in the vast majority of wedding venues across Northern Ireland, it is very rare these days that I get a venue to film in that I haven't worked in before. This is a massive bonus! It means I have got to know all the staff that will be looking after your day and I know exactly where to set up in which rooms.
Q. Is your equipment up to standard? A. I only use the latest Sony 4k recording cameras. I have at least 2 cameras at every wedding along a whole range of accessories, tripods, lenses and audio equipment. Tie clip microphones are used on the groom during the ceremony and where possible I can also use this equipment if your hotel has wireless microphones to get crystal clear audio of vows and speeches.
Q. Do you have a drone? A. Yes! I use this to get establishing shots of venues etc. Unfortunately it cannot be flown in bad weather or high winds and is always dependant on time and light available in winter but I always use it when at all possible.
Q. Do you get on with photographers? A. A common misconception is that Photographers and Videographers do not get on, we do! I am lucky enough to have a lot of photographers I have worked with become close friends so I must be doing something right!
Q. Would you take up any of our time on the day? A. Absolutely not! My style is to try and blend into the background and get a natural feel to the footage. I would never come to you and ask you to do anything cheesy or set up, it just does not look natural!
Q. Can we come and discuss things? A. Of course, just arrange a time that suits and we can meet up and I will run through everything and answer any questions you may have. It is always helpful to put faces to names!
Q. Do you charge for travel? A. There is no charge for travel within Northern Ireland weather you are in Enniskillen or just around the corner. Anything outside this there would be a small charge to cover the cost of fuel and travel time.
Q. How long before my wedding film would be ready? A. I aim to have your film finished within 4-6 weeks. This may be slightly longer during busy periods. If you have an Instagram trailer in your package I aim to have this to you within 7-10 days after your wedding.
Q. Can you hold a date for me? A. If you want to book myself after viewing samples etc then i can provisionally hold a date for 3 days. Sometimes this is necessary to let your partner, parents etc have a look. After 3 days a deposit would be required to secure the date.
Q. How much of a deposit is required? A. A Booking Fee of £150 secures the date. This is non-refundable. The balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding.
Q. Do you keep a back up of the wedding? A. Yes - I never delete a finished wedding! With your digital delivery you also have the option to download your films, please make sure to do this and copy to as many places as you want.
Q. Who chooses the music? A. Music is a really important part of making your film so I do this, and for the Highlights and Instagram films the song must be licensed to be online, so I use Musicbed to pick the perfect song. For your main film, if you have a specific song you would like, I am always open to suggestions! Q. Do you require a meal? A. No, you will already be feeding enough people! While you are in having your meal I will be reviewing the footage that I have already taken.
Q. How far in advance should I book? A. I would suggest at least a year in advance. I do find myself turning down quite a few weddings because I am already booked and do have weddings booked for 2 and 3 years in advance. There may be availability if it is short notice though so please do contact me and check. Q. But I hate being in front of the camera? A. You and me both! No-one likes the idea of a camera on them, this is why I just blend into the background, film away at everyone without them even knowing I am there. I want you and your guests to come away from your wedding and not remember even seeing me!
